In our experience there are 3 key practices which underpin the success of all projects:

1. Select the right project. Understand what the business needs to achieve and then explore all options to find the right project that will deliver the most appropriate results at the best cost.

2. Involve the right people. Know who the project stakeholders are and understand their individual needs. Use this knowledge to develop the right project.

3. Set up the project properly. When you know project scope and deliverables the execution strategy can be decided – delivery strategy, resource needs, team working practices. The team can then build a realistic plan and schedule for delivery.
